Faith & Joy — It Is Okay for Christians to Laugh
Joy Belongs in the Christian Life
“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine…” — Proverbs 17:22
Christian faith deals with serious things, but serious faith does not require a permanently serious face. Healthy laughter can lower walls, bring people together, and remind us that joy is also a gift.
Our Rule for Christian Humour
Laugh with people, never at their pain. Do not mock someone’s weakness, trauma, disability, culture, or sincere faith. Humour should make a message more human without making truth less important.
A Little Church Humour
If you have ever opened your Bible to look up one verse and found yourself twenty minutes later wondering how you ended up in Leviticus, you are not alone.
We will use gentle humour from time to time in sermons, family content, and this section—not to turn worship into entertainment, but to let joy and humanity have a place in the conversation.
ONE Church in Christ Jesus
