Big Idea: Jesus Wants Children Close to Him

“Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not…” — Mark 10:14

Some adults once tried to keep children away from Jesus because they thought He was too busy or too important. Jesus corrected them. He wanted the children to come close.

That means you never have to think, “I am too young for God to care about me.” Jesus cares about your questions, your worries, your joys, your family, your friendships, and your prayers.

Try This

Hold out your hand and count five fingers. Name five things you can thank Jesus for today. They can be big or small.

A Little Smile

If God can hear millions of prayers, He can definitely hear the one you whisper under your blanket after bedtime.

Prayer

Jesus, thank You for welcoming children. Help me know that I can come to You, talk to You, trust You, and learn from You every day. Amen.
