Read

Read 1 Peter 5:1–4, Galatians 6:1–2, and Acts 20:28. Leadership requires attentive service, gentle restoration, and responsibility.

Shared leadership

Define responsibilities, involve accountable decision-makers, record major decisions, and welcome correction. A sense of calling does not remove the need for accountability.

Care and boundaries

Listen carefully, pray with permission, and be honest about your training. Connect people with appropriate professional support when their needs exceed your competence. Respect privacy and avoid creating dependence on one leader.

Financial trust

State the purpose of donations, keep records, separate ministry and personal funds, and provide independent review where practical. Give financial reporting appropriate to the ministry’s responsibilities. Do not use spiritual pressure to obtain gifts.

Concerns

Provide a way to raise concerns that does not depend solely on the person being questioned. Protect people from retaliation, handle reports promptly, and seek appropriate local guidance where needed.

Leadership review

Who reviews our decisions? Can someone raise a concern safely? How are funds recorded? Which responsibilities need clearer boundaries? Choose one improvement and a date for completing it.
